We recognise that the marking and feedback on pupil’s work is an integral part of a teacher’s professional duty and invaluable to the learning journey.

Whilst it is necessary and productive, the excessive nature, depth and frequency of marking is an unhelpful burden for teachers - taking them away from what they do best: teaching and making a difference to their students.
